It seemed to go back on OK, but there is just something unnerving about firmly pressing it back on to something that is part of the glass, then hearing that horrible snap/click/crunch as it snaps back in to place. I just swapped the adapter over from the old blade and it clicked in to place. Not sure what brand it was, I found it in my "stash" and it wasn't in a package.
Those are still reasonably priced because you're only buying the blade and not the whole d# arm!! Whatever happened to just buying the blade? That's all you need! I'll tell you what happened: the blade manufacturers decided they could make more money by including the whole arm and quadrupling the price in the process (because it's "so hard" to install just the blades themselves)!! What a waste (and what a racket)!Ĭlick to expand.I was inspired by this thread, so I just went out and installed a new 13" blade on mine. Here's an inexpensive option I sometimes use: TRICO's "Break-to-Fit" blades. So you add shipping cost to RockAuto's artificially low prices, and the overall cost is usually still less than what you'd pay at the local auto parts store! And yeah, RockAuto shipping can seem ridiculous sometimes, but the starting cost is artificially low, too! Try walking into any local Auto Parts store and buying a wiper blade for $2 or $3! It doesn't exist. might've turned it ON once or twice in 10 years!īut I just checked RockAuto and they have several replacements. I just passed 10 years owning my 2011 Nox, and the original factory blade is still on back there. I read so many horror stories about that darn rear blade that I can tell you.
